Forefront of an angry sky
I watch as branches sway,
Their leaves a-shimmer in the breeze
Trying to hold bad weather at bay.
Silver jewels tremble in the sun,
An optical illusion for sure,
A matter of seconds, a blink of an eye,
And the green returns once more.

Nice poem 🙂
And that sky certainly looks ominous!
Thank you. We had some really heavy rain yesterday and Maggie was unsettled for several hours. I thought I heard a rumbling in the distance this afternoon, but as she didn’t react, I was probably mistaken.
Collies often are very sensitive to thunder storms and air pressure. My old dog Madam used to be. Luckily for me, LM and SL don’t worry about it. 🙂
Barney hated them, as did my parent’s rough collie, and the collie cross I had when I was married to my ex. Never thought about that to be honest.
