What did you get on your shopping list?

Following on from yesterday’s post (here),

1.   A frond.
2.   A picture of the Queen.
3.   A discarded limb.
4.   A florin.
5.   A green leaf.
6.   A small tree.
7.   Something metal.
8.   A cutting tool.
9.   Something from Nature’s Kitchen.
10.  A button.

We expected to be given something along the lines of

1.   A frond is another name for a fern.
2.   This could be found on a stamp or a coin.
3.   Any twig, being the branch/limb of a tree
4.   A ten pence piece, as a florin was worth two bob in pre decimal money.
5.   Any green plant leaf .
6.   An acorn.
7.   Safety pin, tack, nail, anything like that lying around.
8.   A BLADE of grass.
9.   Any seeds or husk.
10. Usually lying at the bottom of a handbag or on the ground somewhere.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
