I accept with thanks

Cordelia’s Mom has nominated me for The Miranda Sings Award created by Claudia’s Thoughts.

Thank you so much for including me in your list!

https://cordeliasmomstill.files.wordpress.com/2016/02/miranda-sings-award.pngI’ve been nominated for several awards in the past but never followed them through for one reason or another (none bad!), so you may wonder why I’ve accepted this one.

I’m embarrassed to admit I have no idea who ‘Miranda’ is, but the concept of saying some good stuff about yourself and passing it on appeals to me.
Good advice given to me by my GP when I was at my lowest was to find something I liked about myself and build on that.
It helped me turn my life around and if it could do that for me, then listing seven positive things about yourself can only be a good thing.

These are the rules:

Announce your win with a post and link the blogger who nominated you.

Include the featured image on your blog post.

Nominate 10 bloggers (or as many as you can think of) and link your awardees in the post.

List 7 things you love about yourself  (This can be about your appearance, your personality, your achievements, etc.)

Be positive about yourself.  Don’t use negative connotation.

With points one and two ticked off, here is my ‘Pensitivity Positive 7’ :

1. My skin:  here I am approaching 60 and my complexion is damn good.
2. My hair:   I still have more brown than grey, and like my skin, it’s in good condition without having to pamper it.
3. My sense of humour. I am 99% cheerful (we’re all entitled to an off day)
4. I am a people person.
Everyone can (and does) talk to me. I love it.
5. I can keep a secret.
Tell me something in confidence, and it will go no further.
If I consider you My Friend, you are that for life. I will never judge you, let you down and will always be there for you.
6. I love nature and animals. I appreciate the natural beauty of life and my surroundings, and like to share my observations through my blog.
7. My music. I know my music has brought pleasure to many, and still does when I get the chance to play.

Listing 10 nominees is a bit daunting so here goes with a variety of new and old:

Thanks for reading.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. I’m impressed at how quickly you did that! It took me days!

I have to admit there have been award nominations that I have turned down, too , and when I accepted this one, I also wasn’t sure why I did so – pretty much for the same reasons you list. Glad I could help lift you out of the doldrums, My Friend.

    • We didn’t have much on today, so whilst waiting for paint and glue to dry (buckets and veg trays), I got stuck in. One of the joys of retirement I suppose!
Thanks again for including me. Made my day. 🙂

  2. Thank you for the nomination!

Congratulations! It is always good to be kind to yourself and think of something positive 🙂
