I’m not one to fiddle about with umpteen hair products, and the last time I went to the hairdresser was in June 2014 when I took my Mum and had my own done whilst waiting.
Since living on the boat, our toiletry purchases have had to be multi functional and unisex. In short, this lemon shower gel does all.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer seems to have stopped doing the lemon burst, and replaced it with lime. This is not so good as a hair shampoo, and so my tresses became dull and frizzy, especially as I now use the hairdryer in the ladies after having a shower.
Back on the boat after our house sitting, I discovered a bottle at the back of the bathroom cupboard, but obviously we needed to finish the lime one first. I have to say that the difference after just two washes is noticeable, apart from the frizzy ends.
Some years ago, I found a hair serum at 99p a bottle that lasted ages and was every bit as good as it’s £6 branded equivalent.
Sadly that hasn’t been available for well over three years, so I was glad I had a good supply, the last of which I used shortly before moving out of the cottage.
After the lime slime that didn’t shine, I’ve been on the hunt for an alternative and finally I have found some.
Again priced at 99p for a 50ml bottle in Home Bargains (ebay advertises it at £3.85 for the same size or you can order it direct from the manufacturer for £1.99 a bottle plus p&p), it’s Creighton’s Frizz No More, and a penny sized amount was perfectly adequate for my long hair
which used to be dark brown with grey Rogue (X-Men) streaks (if only I looked this good sigh 😦 ).
