Everything is going pear shaped.
No internet access on the marina yesterday, so here we are in McD having coffee.
Hubby can connect to their WIFI but I can’t, so I’m on his machine whilst he tinkers with mine.

The new glasses are fuzzy, though I’ve been told to give them a week for me to adjust. Distance vision is great, close up is crap!

Hubby is thinking of buying me a tablet as I’m having so much trouble. I don’t think giving my laptop an aspirin is going to help.

I won’t even mention my stats.

Yesterday pm saw us addressing a slight condensation problem under the bed, or should I say under the boxes under the bed. Everything is double wrapped, so safe and protected.
What made us look was that it had been SO HOT the night before, I washed all the bed linen, including our mattress protector and crochet blanket. While I was up spending POUNDS getting it all dry, Hubby was cleaning up and discovered the problem.
We vacuum packed all of our clothing and linens then put them in plastic crates which have sealable lids. Hubby has now made little pallets to lift the boxes off the floor, thus improving the air flow underneath.

We also have an issue in the bathroom again, and today Hubby will be putting a small fan in the bottom corner to again increase the air flow.

This is all to be expected in cold weather, and rather than leave things until they become major problems,  we deal with them immediately.

Oh well, my time is up, so I’m signing off before the battery runs out.
I missed you guys yesterday, so haven’t caught up with my reader or anything!
I’ll be back though!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Depending on how you use your laptop, the tablet may/may not be a good idea. Ensure that you understand the differences before handing over any money! 🙂

  2. I had friends who lived in a trailer and they has similar problems with moisture and condensation. Hope your computer problems get resolved one way or the other.

    • Hi Kate. Condensation comes with the territory of boat and caravan living. The summer months are terrific obviously, but cold weather brings out the worst of us, including Mr C!
