The word echoed in empty space,
Nothing there to take its place
The smile of greeting froze on my face,
Hello? Is anyone there?
A quick cheat check and nothing changed,
No figures or readings rearranged,
I’m finding it all now really strange,
My blog cupboard is almost bare.

It’s been a really quiet day today. And I mean Really. Quiet. Like as in single figures.
I logged on this morning and caught up with your lovely comments and likes (thanks), checked out my reader, and then we had to go out as Hubby had a blood test today.
Finally things are starting to settle down and get back to normal. Hurrah!

We did a bit of shopping, then boring stuff like showers and laundry.
I’ve just logged on again, and my stats haven’t changed, though I had a couple of extra comments.
I feel like I’ve been turned off.
Ho hum.
Early night.
See you tomorrow.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
yea, my stats have been wonky for a while too. don’t know what to believe, even when I look at them.
Nothing adds up, and I notice the little ‘share’ symbol in the reader has moved to be alongside the likes and comments. Still, nice to know people are still leaving comments and interacting if I leave a comment on their blogs. They’re the ones that matter. Sleep well.
What’s really weird is normally I would get a notification when someone responded to a comment I make..but like in this case, nothing came up after you replied to me..I just stopped back to see just in case…
Aw, Don’t stress – we are all still here! I’ve given up on the numbers!
Have a nice day π
Aw, shucks (and thanks) π
hope things pick back up for you soon. Mine has been pretty dead since I moved. I had one day last week with over 100 views, it totally shocked me since that was more than I’d had in the last 3 months put together. You’re right, our regulars are the ones we need to pay attention to. π
My ‘blogging family’ are terrific.
At least quiet times leave you room to breathe and blog, right?
Oh the peace and tranquility here is brilliant. Not so keen on the cold though, but the warmer months are definitely worth it!
Definitely!
