Bouncy bouncy

I have no idea what is going on but I was merrily typing away, tried to save my post as a draft and was bounced out of WP this morning (luckily I had already prepared a post which had loaded OK).
The message on screen said my ‘page’ was not available and had been sent somewhere else. This was obviously to Planet WTF, where the sun don’t shine as I couldn’t find it to retrieve it, access it, read it, or edit it, let alone publish it.
Trying to sign in again, I was bounced out twice, the result being my blog going AWOL.
Being thus unable to access my site, dashboard, stats page, reader or posts, I switched everything off and went for a walk with the dog.

It’s amazing what the sight of rows and rows of chocolate and doughnuts can do for the unimpressed and dissatisfied blogger, the ability of such goodies to recharge the patience batteries, and the peace and rhythmic tranquility of a steady pace to calm the nerves.

The chocolate was left behind, but two packs of doughnuts found their way into the shopping basket along with two chops, a carrot, green beans (today’s main meal) and a soft cob loaf, all for the princely sum of £3.41p.

“Why two packs of doughnuts?” I hear you ask.

No sir, not His and Hers, but our friends down the way are here for a few days, and as we were walking to the supermarket, we asked if they would like some.
We were later invited in for tea and doughnuts, so our pack lives to see another day and soothe an unhappy spirit should there be a repeat WP performance tomorrow.

doughnutsMay every day be a doughnut day,
It helps to keep frustration at bay,
Ringed or iced, custard or jam,
Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn.
A sugar fix will solve all my ills,
Besides, it’s better than taking pills!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

They must be doing something to their programs. I’ve heard a lot of complaints today also when I tried certain sites they were having problems.

  2. Chocolate? Donuts? Tough decision for me. Probably would have gone for the chocolate until it was candy! A nice chocolate cake or muffin often does the trick especially when WP goes to THAT planet!

Yes WP is playing up again! Took forever to load, refused to load some of my pages, stuck in limbo, then told me I had no internet (Which I did!). I wouldn’t mind so much if all this faffing about by the powers that be in WP actually produced an improved blogging experience, but as far as I am concerned it just keeps getting worse.
Still, doughnuts are a bit of all right! 😀

    • I agree. What once was a pleasurable experience is fast becoming a battle of wills and patience, of which I lack seriously in the latter. Hubby is also having problems now and I am reverting back to my old way of an independent draft first then copying it in to add my images. It’s a pain in the backside, and they think it’s progress?? It’s a four letter word beginning with S and ending in T. 😦
