Someone ate my Stats!

Yesterday, I managed to do a couple of posts, but they took me ALL DAY.
Well, not that I was sitting at my screen doing nothing else for over 12 hours, but there definitely seemed to be a problem as I was constantly losing my connection, running slow, winding up/down with nowhere to go, and even signing out took all of five minutes.

I can’t blame it on the weather. It was another glorious day, but no trip out on the water as Maggie had an appointment with the vet (a booster for a booster as one of the standard annual injections has been improved to cover another strain of leptospirosis) and we had a little problem with our water pump, which has now been rectified.

I can’t blame it on the marina WIFI either, as it was working perfectly, with a full power signal to the boat, and no warning triangle showing ‘no internet access’. Our theory is that because it was a holiday weekend and the marina has been busy, someone has finally found the ON button connecting the inside router to the outside box on the wall. (If so, please mark with sticker DO NOT SWITCH OFF)

We were both having difficulties, so wondered if we were crashing each other out, but even when one of us ‘powered down’, the problems did not disappear, so we just did the best we could and managed to post eventually.

Something else I noticed yesterday.
My stats didn’t change. At all.
I had the same number of views at 11pm as I’d had at 10am when I’d originally switched on, yet my ‘likes’ and ‘comments’ registered OK.
How strange is that ?

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

That stats scenario is quite common. I have had Comments and Likes, but no Visitors! There has to be a technical explanation but everything seems to catch up in the end! 🙂

My stats disappear for no reason. I go from hundreds of hits to zero in the blink of an eye. No doubt there are bugs nibbling on the system here too lol

Agh – internet!! Sympathies – and I hope your stats have updated now?
