Little People

Taking advantage of a brief dry spell, I took Maggie for a walk round the Avenue just before lunch. I passed the school and it was playtime.
What a din.
kidsAs we walked by, my tinnitus was assaulted by high-pitched screaming which in turn set my teeth on edge. What is it about kids that they have to scream at the top of their voices as soon as they hit the air?

I got to thinking though that these little people are tomorrow’s Politicians, Celebrities, Doctors, Lawyers, Bankers and Dentists so I slowed my pace to observe and just hope no-one thought I was lurking with intent, even though I was on the other side of the road.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Scary! Just think ………….. those loud, deceitful, dishonest, self-centered and disloyal children of today, are the politicians of tomorrow! Hmmmmmmm ….. time for a Scotch!

  2. If they can’t scream outside, where can they scream? 😒

    • This is very true, just wish it wasn’t so loud or at a different pitch!
It’s a long time since I was their age, and I wonder if some old git thought the same about me ha ha! Wish I had their energy though. Maybe that’s why they scream, to get the air in their lungs for jet propulsion! 🙂
