Taking advantage of a brief dry spell, I took Maggie for a walk round the Avenue just before lunch. I passed the school and it was playtime.
What a din.
As we walked by, my tinnitus was assaulted by high-pitched screaming which in turn set my teeth on edge. What is it about kids that they have to scream at the top of their voices as soon as they hit the air?
I got to thinking though that these little people are tomorrow’s Politicians, Celebrities, Doctors, Lawyers, Bankers and Dentists so I slowed my pace to observe and just hope no-one thought I was lurking with intent, even though I was on the other side of the road.
