666

Three hundred and thirty three posts ago, I wondered what I’d be writing about now.

666, AKA The Number of The Beast (we’ve all seen The Omen films, creepy stuff).

omenBut did you know:

“666 is the sum of the first 36 natural numbers (i.e. 1 + 2 + 3+ … + 34 + 35 + 36 = 666), and thus it is a triangular number.  Notice that 36 = 15 + 21; 15 and 21 are also triangular numbers; and 152 + 212 = 225 + 441 = 666.

In Base 10, 666 is a Repdigit (repeated digit) and therefore a Palindromic Number (same backwards and forwards).
A prime reciprocal magic square based on 1/149 in base 10 has a magic total of 666.

The Roman Numeral for 666, DCLXVI, has exactly one occurrence of all symbols whose value is less than 1000 in decreasing order
(D = 500, C = 100, L = 50, X = 10, V = 5, I = 1).”

Although I am an ex number cruncher (office accounts and banking), these mathematical references are way over my head, so if they (and more) are of interest, WIKI tells all.

This was my 666th post.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
