Magnetic Personality

Many years ago, branches of my family would have a themed Christmas, from Mugs to Chocolates, home-made produce (I did sweets) and novelty gifts.
Over the years, everyone received the same gift of spectacle torches, videos, wine racks and whiskey glasses from one of my siblings. Not wishing to sound ungrateful as we were glad to be remembered, but we found the spectacles the most useful as the 3 video titles we already had, and we don’t drink.

This year, I’m thinking about having a fridge magnet Christmas.

christmas treeThere are just so many to choose from, they don’t cost the earth (from as little as £1) and you can have numbers and letters of the alphabet, pieces of fruit, cars, cakes, buildings, animals etc so there is bound to be one suitable for every member of the family (not that I would actually have that many to buy these days but they are easy to post away).
Some of course are visual, like 2 cats looking at a computer mouse scratching their heads, but there are some real classics out there, so if you’re stumped for the ‘Perfect Gift’ on a budget, give it some thought.

There are some with great sayings too such as
I’ve never met a chocolate I didn’t like and
If Mothers were flowers, I’d pick you.

These will hopefully make you smile 😀

“The words you are looking for are ‘ Yes Dear ‘ “,  which I actually saw in a church gift shop.
Surprisingly I couldn’t find an image for you, but this is pretty close:

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
