I surprised the men yesterday.
Not with my baking skills, and certainly not with the new washing machine.
It didn’t do my blood pressure much good either.
It was the footie.
I am not a fan, but last night we settled down to watch the Ghana V Germany match, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The players were actually playing the game as I remembered it all those years ago with my Dad, going for goal, crosses, volleys, a good clean game (only one yellow card I believe) with a good result being a 2 all draw.
And what goals!
I got quite excited (I don’t do excitement) to the extent that I was yelling instructions to the Centre Forward to push the ball forward and pass it to the Winger who was waiting ‘in the box’ to kick the ball home.
I ‘oohed’ and ‘aahed’ with the men, screamed NO! when there was a near miss, and cheered at the top of my lungs when the ball went in the back of the net (the dogs were not impressed), regardless of which end of the pitch it was.
I have no idea what the players names are.
I have no favourite to win.
I just enjoyed watching the game.
As I said a couple of posts ago, there is a lot of talent on the field.
It was great to see it all working together.
Dare I say it?
ENGLAND TAKE NOTE!
