Damn, it’s hot

Would you believe that at the end of last week we had to put our heating on as it had got so cold?
Fast forward seven days, and I’m melting.

I’ve just checked the temperature indoors and at 10.30pm it’s 22.5 degrees.
That’s hot.

We’ve had the fan going all afternoon, but it’s still so stuffy.
Last year, it reached 39 degrees in our conservatory, so we kept the kitchen door shut and didn’t go out there.

It’s not that I suffer from hay fever or anything, I just don’t like the heat.
After all, when you’re cold, you can keep adding layers.

winterWhen you’re hot, once you’ve stripped everything off, if you’re still hot there’s nothing left to remove.
bananaIt’s OK padding round your own property in the altogether if you’re that way inclined, but what to do when you’re out? I confess I have been known to hover in the freezer department of the supermarket for longer than is necessary, and on one occasion I nearly climbed in!

I know I’m going to have an uncomfortable night as I get all bunged up in weather like this.
Hopefully, Hubby won’t mind sharing me with Vic.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
